Key Responsibilities

Our Banking team works alongside the Real Estate Finance team representing a broad spread of lender and borrower clients. As a Senior Associate in the team, you will be leading on matters across a range of domestic and international lenders under leadership of the Banking and Real Estate Finance partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of banking matters, including bilateral and syndicated lending, leveraged finance, refinancing, and general corporate lending transactions.
  • Ensure proactive, efficient, and commercially focused matter management from instruction through to completion, with strong attention to risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with banking clients, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders, fostering trust, confidence, and long-term partnerships.

We are looking for a 4-6 years PQE Senior Associate to join our fast-paced and highly regarded RED&SR team. The role is based in our London office in Farringdon.

The successful candidate will have excellent academics or equivalent skills and will have gained experience from a top-quality commercial practice. You will be a lawyer who is comfortable dealing with all aspects of RED&SR law.

Key responsibilities

  • Working alongside the Director and Head of RED&SR and wider team whilst managing your own diverse caseload
  • Managing a wide range of RED&SR matters, including but not limited to:
    • Party wall claims
    • Developer claims
    • Trespass claims
    • Dealing with Right to light easements
    • Proactively conducting and dealing with Landlord and tenant matters
    • Possession proceedings on behalf of landlords and lenders
    • Mortgage possession claims
    • Enforcing personal guarantees
    • Contested lease renewals
    • Forfeiture and applications for relief for forfeiture
  • Managing debt recovery matters
  • Detail oriented approach to case and file management
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents
  • Identify opportunities to develop new and existing client relationships

  • Qualified RED&SR lawyer with 4-6+ years’ PQE, ideally with recent London based experience
  • Proven experience leading and managing complex, high-value RED&SR matters, with the ability to drive matters forward with minimal supervision
  • University degree educated with a minimum of a 2:1 accreditation
  • Excellent client-facing, communication and relationship management skills, with the confidence to lead on client matters and contribute to business development activity
  • Demonstrated ability to handle challenging clients and maintain high-quality output whilst working under pressure and to tight deadlines
