Lawrence Stephens Appoints Head of Employment Practice

Lawrence Stephens, has announced a senior role with the position of Head of Employment Law has been taken up by Joanne Mackie, as of 1 November 2022.

Jo joins Lawrence Stephens having previously headed up the Employment practice at Slater & Gordon. She brings with her more than 20 years of experience in the Employment Law practice area and earned her stripes in the Government Legal Department as an Employment Lawyer for more than 15 years.

Jo specialises in all aspects of discrimination claims, TUPE and collective consultation in M&A, whilst managing and mitigating business risks across the spectrum of employment law. She will be tasked with strengthening and building the existing Employment practice at Lawrence Stephens, which will allow the firm to offer a full-service client offering.

This appointment comes at a propitious time for the firm, with a series of several other senior hires in the Autumn of 2022.
