Meet Sophie

I joined Lawrence Stephens in September 2026 as a newly qualified Solicitor in the Family Team.

I trained at a boutique family law firm, specialising exclusively in private family law. My practice includes advising individuals on child arrangements, parenting agreements, divorce and matrimonial finances, and domestic abuse injunctions. I also have experience of undertaking the advocacy for my client’s applications for domestic abuse injunctions. I take a trauma-informed approach to my work, recognising the often sensitive and challenging circumstances in which family law advice is sought.

Before training, I worked as a Senior Paralegal in the Dispute Resolution department of a large City law firm, alongside significant involvement in its pro bono department. There, I supported survivors of human trafficking and domestic abuse and contributed to work campaigning for racial justice reform. These experiences have strongly shaped my approach as a family solicitor.

I aim to provide clear, pragmatic advice from the outset, manage expectations throughout proceedings, and ensure my clients feel heard, supported and in control of their decisions. I am committed to assisting clients in a constructive, compassionate and cost-effective way.

Outside of work, I enjoy Pilates, cooking and travelling.
