Lawrence Stephens’ Corporate department has acted for client Efficient Building Solutions Limited (EBS) to acquire design engineering consultancy, Qoda Consulting.

Senior Director, Steven Bernstein, led on the deal for the green construction and building services business – part of the Ansor Group – which enabled the successful purchase of Qoda, a leading consulting business that specialises in the mechanical, electrical and sustainable aspects of building design. EBS acquires the expert consultancy team made up of 60 professionals in addition to a sustainable design team (Qoda Net Zero), who have established offices in Oxfordshire, London and Bristol.

This significant acquisition for EBS follows its recent purchases of Bright Green Renewables in November 2020 and Go Eco Renewables in December 2020, both of which Steven also acted on. The deal also forms part of EBS’ plans to reduce the carbon footprint of the UK building sector by developing energy-efficient buildings for commercial, residential and educational use.
