Tom Pemberton joins Lawrence Stephens as a Director in its growing Construction and Development Finance team.
Formerly a Partner at Goodman Derrick LLP, Tom Pemberton has over 25 years of experience advising on all stages of the procurement and execution of a wide variety of building, engineering and infrastructure projects in the UK and abroad, including projects of national importance.
Tom has recently been advising a specialist supplier in the negotiation of a sub-contract relating to the back-up power supply at Hinkley Point C nuclear power station, having also advised another client on a major earthworks contract relating to this major project.
Another typical example of his advice has been for a large international process engineering company (a longstanding client of his) whom he has been helping to navigate the legal issues arising from Brexit and the pandemic respectively, and to ensure that their contracts include appropriate protection in respect of the same.
Tom Pemberton, Director, comments: “I was deeply impressed with Lawrence Stephens – a leading commercial law firm with a wealth of experience and expertise and a highly entrepreneurial approach. I am delighted to be joining the team.”
Steven Bernstein, Senior Director, comments: “We are delighted that Tom is joining to the team as he brings a wealth of experience in the procurement and execution of a wide range projects in the UK and internationally.
“Tom will be a great asset to our practice and I wish him a long and successful career with Lawrence Stephens.”
