Last month, Lawrence Stephens attended the Dennis Wise in the Community’s Annual Fundraising Ball at The Savoy Hotel. Dennis Wise in the Community is a charity which works to support children and adults with disabilities. The charity is led by former Chelsea and England football legend Dennis Wise and hosts a range of fundraising events, which helps provide mini buses, wheelchairs and financial support to organisations and individuals across the country.

Those representing Lawrence Stephens at the event were Partners Gregory Palos, Andrew Conway and Consultant Eddie Johns. They shared a table with friends and representatives from Metro Bank, Lendhub and Kuflink.

A testament to Dennis Wise and his good faith in his circles, joining Lawrence Stephens were a broad range of esteemed guests. These included several greats from the sporting and entertainment world, including Carlo Cudicini and Roberto Di Matteo.

Lawrence Stephens Consultant, Eddie Johns has attended the event consecutively for several years, commented:

“There are many avid football fans in the Lawrence Stephens office, so we were one again delighted to receive an invitation to attend this event. Coupled with the fantastic work Dennis Wise and the Community does for those living with a disability, we are very proud to support such a great cause.”

The event raised an impressive £69K for the charity, which will go far in achieving the charity’s aim of providing 100 minibuses to disability charities across the country. To date, Dennis Wise in the Community has purchased and donated up to 22 minibuses, offering a new means of independence and mobility to those in need of it.

As one of the most decorated Chelsea captains, Dennis Wise has enjoyed a football career spanning over 20 years. Now committed to giving back to the local community, and a valuable client of Lawrence Stephens, we are proud to support him and Dennis Wise in the Community in their incredible work.
