Lawrence Stephens recently acted for Lee Cohen and Jill Hamilton in connection with the sale (subject to regulatory approval) of Hamilton Leigh Ltd, an independent commercial insurance brokerage based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, to insurance intermediary, Specialist Risk Group (SRG).

The deal was led by Jeff Rubenstein, Head of Corporate and Commercial with assistance from Katherine Zangana, Senior Associate, Charlotte Hamilton, Solicitor and Aashay Knights, Solicitor.

Lee Cohen and Jill Hamilton set up the Insurance Brokerage (Hamilton Leigh) back in 1998. To date the success of the Company has meant that they have achieved steady growth year on year. Hamilton Leigh are a specialist insurance broker with expertise in the motor trade and fast growing technology businesses in the UK.

Hamilton Leigh Ltd becomes the latest in a long line of acquisitions for SRG, joining their retail division Specialist Risk Insurance Solutions (SRIS), which doubled in size last year.
